Sushi & Tempura as Original FAST Foods ?! :

When I eat Sushi & Tempura with our friends coming from overseas as travelers, I wud like to explain these foods are regarded as FAST Food like American famous Hamburgers during Edo era. Can you image this historical fact true indeed ? You can easily imagine and time-slip to old days when you eat these foods at Japanese restaurants. Edomae means <just in front of Edo-Bay>, where you can catch and get very fresh Fish and cook like in Tsukiji Fish market more than three hundred years ago. When you are going to take a public bath with wearing Yukata and Uchiwa Fan, you feel very hungry afterwards. Then at that moment, Mobile Yatai , moving restaurants, are available for your choice, where you can eat Tempura or Sushi while standing to feel cold breeds to have your hot body cooling down. Fresh Fish is to be filleted and processed into Sushi or Tempura for ready-to-eat upon cooked or served with good Sake. Japanese Food History is , as a matter of fact, very interesting if you think these foods are FAST Foods in old days, people enjoyed very fresh foods at reasonable price as one of the entertainment or pleasure with close friends or family members. Soysauce and Vinegar are also developed while commercial market is gradually developed in logistics as food preservatives. Even in WASABI, Green mustard, is very effective in killing germs or being of great help to longer shelf-life of foods. If you think in this sense, you may feel old Japanese people in Edo (Tokyo) enjoying the same life style as ours in modern times. Next time, when you eat Tempura and Sushi, you can imagine how they felt when they eat the same foods, very Delicious, exactly the same as we feel now.
